BlockWASTE – Innovative training based on Blockchain technology applied to waste management

Project Ref. Number: 2020-1-EL01-KA203-079154
Programme: Erasmus+
Project website: www.blockwasteproject.eu

Description: Municipal waste constitutes approximately 7 to 10% of the total waste generated in the EU. This waste stream is, however, among the most complex to manage and requires transparency and reliability of the information provided to the agents involved in the process. The Blockchain technology is a new branch of study that has not yet been widely implemented in curricula. The BlockWASTE project will serve as a base for the beginning of the training in Blockchain technology through its implementation in the solid waste management. In parallel, BlockWASTE will demonstrate the applicability of Blockchain in the Circular Economy so that the data collected will be shared within a safe environment, where there is no room for uncertainty and mistrust between all parties involved.

SMEnergy – Energy Footprint management for SMEs

Project Ref. Number: KA220-VET-A684C0C5
Programme: Erasmus+
Project website: www.smenergy-project.eu

Description: Europe imports the majority of energy it consumes, while also has set up targets for the reduce of emissions, due to the dangers of climate change. A big amount of that energy is consumed by the SMEs, as energy efficiency is considered a low priority for them, and at the same time a lot of them mistakenly believe that implementing any efficiency measure will be time consuming, difficult, and more importantly, costly. The SMEnergy project aims to make the people that form the SMEs educate themselves about the Energy Footprint Management, so they can understand and apply the principals and the benefits of a more energy efficient approach in their companies, especially with the usage of digital technologies.
